What it does

You buy by the carton and consume by the gram, so you know what you spent this month but not what a single burger cost you. In Ma'ouna you enter your ingredients once and each item's recipe once, then log daily what you bought, sold and wasted. Out comes the cost of every item, your food-cost percentage, each ingredient's balance per branch, and a list of what to order today in purchase units rather than grams.

Limits and requirements

A plain Excel file with no macros, running on Excel 2016 and above on Windows and Mac, with no internet and no subscription. It is not a point-of-sale system, it does not issue customer invoices, it does not compute tax and it does not replace your accountant. Uploading it to Google Sheets breaks some formatting and charts.

Ordering and delivery

Pay by bank transfer from the buy section or order on WhatsApp. The file arrives in a WhatsApp chat once payment is confirmed.
